How to change the date and/or time of your event
Updated over 3 months ago

You can update the date and or time of your event at anytime before the event. For example, if you need to postpone your event or you have made a mistake.

You cannot change your event date if your event date has passed. You can contact the Humanitix support team to request a date change if required.

Changing the date and time will NOT notify any existing ticket buyers.

You can send an email campaign to all existing buyers to let them know of the date/time change.

How to update the date and time of a past event

Hosts cannot change the event date of a past event. You can however request this change if required by contacting the Humanitix support team.

Use the messenger in the bottom right after logging in to send us a message.

Humanitix does not recommend changing the event date of a past event unless it has not gone ahead e.g. due to a cancellation or postponement.

If you are looking to run the same event again, create a new event, duplicate the event, or add an additional recurring event date.

Commonly asked questions

Will changing the event date and time update a buyers "add to calendar"?

No, updating the event date and/or time will not automatically update any calendar entries that a buyer may have saved using the "add to calendar" option. This is a static calendar file.

We recommend notifying all buyers using an email campaign of the event date change. In your email message you can add the "@AddToCalendar" shortcut as a handy link for them to add a new, updated calendar entry.
