Multi-day events and event series may differ from a recurring event. These types of events have multiple sessions / classes / or sub events that differ from one another. In a recurring event, the content and capacities are all the same.
The following guide explains how you can structure your ticketing to allow variations between ticket pricing and capacities and sell multiple sessions at once as bundles or season passes.
We do not recommend this method if your event needs allocated seating. Read the full guide on creating a recurring event if a multi-session event will be using a seating map.
Set a long-running event date
Set your event date for the entire series duration, spanning the start time of the first session to the end time of the last session.
For example:
Create your sessions using ticket types
Using ticket types, a buyer can select one or multiple 'sessions' or events in a single order
Navigate to the tickets > ticket types page
Create a ticket type for each session
โYou can include the session name/date in the ticket type name
Offer bundle deals, weekend or season passes using Packaged Tickets
When using multiple ticket types on a single event for each session, you can also offer 'bundles' using a packaged ticket, allowing a buyer to quickly select all available sessions.
Navigate to tickets > packaged tickets on the left-hand menu bar
Click + add package
Create your package including one of each individual session
Use date, time, and location overrides to ensure the correct details on the ticket and email
By default, the overarching event date will appear on each digital ticket and confirmation email. By using an override you can change the date, time, or location details based on the ticket a buyer has purchased.
Navigate to tickets > ticket types
Click settings โ๏ธ to the right of your ticket type(s)
Select advanced settings
Enter the exact date, time, and location of that particular session
Commonly asked questions
Can I create a season pass which combines multiple event pages?
Separate events, across different event pages, cannot be purchased in a single order. A buyer must make separate purchases. Additionally, a ticket, e.g. "Season Pass" purchased under one event, will not count towards your attendance at any other event.
We would recommend creating all events as ticket types under a single event page, or, create multiple event pages for each event, including a dedicated event page for a season pass.
