A recurring event is perfect for events running on multiple days and where the content for each session is the same. A buyer will first choose which date they would like to attend and then select their desired tickets.
Create a recurring event by adding in all of your occurrences (dates and times) that all of your ticket-type options will apply to.
Examples of recurring events include:
A musical showing the same performance across 3 nights
A business workshop that runs once a month and is the same course each time
An exhibit with timed entries, running every day
Things to note about recurring events
All ticket types, prices, and capacities will apply to all occurrences.
βDo not create a ticket type that is specific to an occurrence
For example, if you create a recurring event with 3 occurrences (1st March, 2nd March, 3rd March) and then a ticket type called "Workshop - 3rd March", this ticket type will appear for all 3 March occurrences.
Recurring events are best for events that repeat on multiple days or timeslots where a buyer ideally selects a single occurrence they wish to attend and their entry ticket.
We do not recommend using recurring events for:
Events that span multiple days or weeks where a buyer registers one ticket for the entire event such as festivals, conferences, or long-running courses
β> Learn more about creating multi-day events
Multi-day events where the location, content, price, ticket types, or capacity changes for each occurrence
Events where buyers can purchase multiple event dates in a single order
β> Learn more about creating event series
In these cases we recommend creating a single long-running event date with different ticket types
How to add recurring event dates to a single event
An event with multiple event dates is referred to as a recurring event. Recurring event dates can be added one-at-a-time, or as repeating occurrences.
Manage your event
Navigate to the event information > basics tab of your event
Select recurring event in the date & time section
3. On the schedule page click on the calendar to start adding your event date(s)
5. Use the pop-up modal to then add the occurrence or multiple occurrences
The start and end times of the occurrence
How frequently this time slot will reoccur
How many occurrences of this time slot based on the frequency
5. Click save
For example: Your event occurs every Mon - Fri 7pm till 10pm for 2 weeks. Therefore this occurrence will repeat on Mon - Fri for 10 occurrences
How to delete individual dates and occurrences in a recurring event
Head to the event information > schedule page of your event
Click on a date you wish to delete > click delete
You can delete just one occurrence, all occurrences, custom range, or the occurrence you have selected and the future ones.
Press delete to confirm
Dates cannot be deleted if tickets have been sold at any point.
Tickets may still be cancelled.
This includes any tickets that are currently "pending". Pending tickets are any tickets that have been "added to cart". You will need to wait for the checkout timer to expire and these tickets to be restocked.
You can disable an event date if this date is no longer valid, on sale, or cancelled. See below.
How to stop sales or hide an individual event date in a recurring event
You can stop sales for an individual event date by disabling the event date. Disabling will remove the date from the event page and cannot make further purchases.
Existing buyer and attendee data will not be lost.
Navigate to the event information > schedule page
Click on the date you wish to disable
Click edit/reschedule in the pop-up
Toggle ON disable > click save
