If a potential buyer attempts to make a purchase for your event but does not complete it, Humanitix will automatically send them an email with a prompt to purchase their tickets several hours later.

Abandoned cart emails can help boost your event sales by keeping your event fresh in the minds of potential buyers who may have not purchased a ticket due to any number of reasons such as being interrupted, confirming personal availability, or coordinating with others!

You do not need to enable abanonded cart emails for your event but you can disable them if you wish.


When will Humanitix send abandoned cart emails to buyers?

By hosting your event on Humanitix, your event can automatically tap into the Humanitix Discover Network, which consists of millions of ticket buyers. When one of these potential buyers lands on your event event page and begins purchasing tickets, will wait a few hours to see if they ended up completing their purchase.

If not, we'll send them a friendly reminder email with a handy link to jump straight back into their purchase. This means you're able to capitalise on what would otherwise have been a missed opportunity for an additional sale.

Good To Know: Humanitix won't send these emails to customers who have opted out of this type of communication. We also limit how many times this type of email can be sent to any one person over a rolling time period, so it's not guaranteed that every prospective buyer will receive an abandoned cart email.


Can I turn off abandoned cart emails for my event?

Yes, to turn off abandoned cart emails being sent to potential buyers for any event:

  1. Manage your event

  2. Navigate to advanced > settings on the left-hand menu bar

  3. Select the orders tab

  4. Toggle OFF enable abandon cart notifications

You can set this as a default for your account via the account > my account > default payment settings page.
