To request a refund or cancellation of your tickets, you must contact the event host directly.
Humanitix does not manage the events hosted on our platform and does not action refunds on behalf of event hosts or without their direction. Humanitix is a self-service ticketing platform that allows event hosts to create event pages and sell tickets directly to buyers.
You can send a refund request to the event host using the contact host button on your order confirmation email or the event page.
Before you request a refund or cancellation
Check the event's refund and/or cancellation policy available on the event page and/or in any other communications they may have provided.
You may not be entitled to a refund due to accidental purchase, change of mind, or inability to attend the event, especially if outlined in any refund policy. Refunds are processed at the discretion of the event host.
How to request a refund from the event host
To request a refund, you can use the contact host button to send a message directly to the event host. This can be found on your order confirmation email you received after your ticket purchase:
Or on the event page:
Select I want to request a refund and fill in all of your order information, including the order number of your order as found on your order confirmation email.
Missing or incorrect details can delay a response or resolution for you.
What happens next:
A message will be sent to the event host with the details of your order and request. The event may choose to reply to your message and/or action the refund request.
Reminder: Refund requests are processed at the discretion of the event host in line with the event's refund policy.
If your refund is actioned, you will receive a refund confirmation email. The funds will be credited back to the original payment method you used for your purchase. Most refunds are processed within 2-5 business days, but some banks may take up to 10 days.
Action your own refund
Some events - not all - may have allowed ticket buyers to action their own refunds without contacting the event host.
This feature is enabled at the discretion of the event host.
To check if you can action your own refund, select the manage order button in your order confirmation email.
Select the refund/cancel tab.
If your ticket(s) are eligible for a self-service refund, follow the prompts to select your tickets and action your refund. If you do not see the self-service refund section, then you cannot action a refund and must contact the event host.
What happens to my refund if my card is cancelled or expired?
Your refund will always be processed to the original payment method you used for your purchase.
If you have received a refund confirmation email from Humanitix, then your bank or card issuer has accepted the refund credit.
Many banks and card issuers will accept a credit into a closed credit card account for a period of time, or the same bank account that was linked to a now-invalid card.
Please wait the full refund processing time (typically 2-5 business days) and check your existing accounts regularly.
If you no longer have access to a closed account, please contact your bank or card issuer directly to locate the refund. In most cases, they can transfer the credit to another nominated account.
I have contacted the event host about a refund, but I haven't heard back
Give event hosts time to respond to your request. They may be running the event or working through many event enquiries. If you still have not heard back from an event host 24-48 hours after your initial message, we would recommend sending them another message via the Contact Host link, ensuring all of your details are correct.
We also recommend trying any alternative communication channels that the event host may have provided in their event description or found on their host profile. You may be able to find direct contact information on their linked website or social media pages.
