Create a multi-day event for programs, courses, and workshops

A walkthrough on how to collect registrations for your multi-week or multi-session programs and courses

Updated over 3 months ago

Read on if your event is a program, course, or workshop running over multiple sessions, days, or weeks. Your attendees only need to register one ticket to access all sessions.

Doesn't sound like your event setup? Check out the other scenarios to make sure you set up your event right >> Create an event with multiple sessions

Set your long, running event date and communicate your sessions

  1. Create an event with a single date spanning the entire duration of the event program, from the start time of the first session to the end time of the last session.

    For example,
A 4-week course runs every Monday 7pm-9pm from September 1st

2. Create a single ticket type(s) for registration to the entire event

3. Communicate when the sessions will run at different points in the customer journey:

  1. Event description via the event information page

  2. Ticket type description via the settings ⚙️ icon of your ticket

  3. Confirmation email / page / digital ticket via the design & comms > messages page

  4. Schedule reminder email campaigns ahead of each event date to keep attendees up-to-date

For example, in the areas above you could include:

"This is a 4-week course. Classes will run each Monday 7pm-9pm. See the following dates:
September 1st - Monday
September 8th - Monday
September 15th -Monday
September 22nd - Monday

You will receive a reminder email prior to each session"

Add-to-calendar - In this set up attendees will only see a single add-to-calendar option spanning all sessions.

Commonly asked questions

I want my attendees to receive individual add-to-calendar invites for each session, is this possible?

Add-to-calendar links are generated using the event date and time entered. In this event setup, they will receive only one long-running add-to-calendar entry.

Alternate set-up

An alternative is to create each individual session as unique ticket types, offered only through a packaged ticket. Each individual ticket can be applied a date & time override, which generates a unique add-to-calendar link

1. Follow this guide to create your ticket types + packaged ticket and set your date & time overrides >> Event Series Setup
2. Hide your individual ticket types via the settings ⚙️ on your ticket types

When will my event be paid out if I run these long courses?

By default, events are automatically paid out after the event end date

If you wish to receive funds prior to this date you can:

  1. Submit an early payout request support ticket

  2. Connect Stripe to receive flexible access to funds. See our full guide >> Connect Stripe to receive payments
