When will I receive my ticket sales?
When using the default Humanitix payment gateway ticket sales will be paid out to your nominated bank account within 5 business days after your event has ended.
If your event has recurring event dates you will receive a separate payout after each date ends.
Most events are paid out automatically 2 business days after the event end date.
Actual fund transfers can take up to 1-3 business days after the notification of an event payout depending on bank processing times.
How will I know if my event has been paid out?
Once your event payout has been actioned you will receive a payout confirmation email to your account email address.
You can also navigate to the payments and fees > payouts page of your event to see the status of your event payout and expected payout amount.
I haven't received my funds after 5 business days
If you haven't received your event payout within 5 business days of your event ending, please check you have correctly entered your bank account details. To do this:
Go to account > my account
From the left menu, select my account > bank accounts
To update your banking details:
Click edit ✏️to make changes
Click save when you’re done
There may be a couple of reasons your event has not been paid out or funds have been received.
If you believe your bank account was incorrect at the time of an event payout please update your bank account details and contact the Humanitix support team via the messenger

Connect a Stripe account to receive flexible access to ticket sales
You can have flexible access to your ticket sales by connecting a Stripe account. Stripe is a third-party payment gateway that replaces the Humanitix payment gateway. All credit and debit card ticket sales are paid directly into your Stripe account where you can control payout schedules, regardless of the event date.
Want to discuss your options further with our Customer Success team?
Get in touch via this link.
Stripe charges a fee per transaction that is debited from your ticket sales. This is not covered by the Humanitix booking fee.
Ticket sales paid using Afterpay and Zippay (where available) are not paid into a Stripe account and are always transacted via the Humanitix payment gateway. They are subject to the default payout schedule.
Submit an early payment request
If your event has transacted on the default Humanitix payment gateway, you can submit an early payout request to be actioned by the Humanitix support team, requesting a percentage or fixed amount of available ticket sales.
You can submit a payout request by logging in and using the messenger in the bottom right > messages > contact support > payouts and follow the prompts.
Requests are actioned within 1 business day but actual funds transfers may take 1-3 business days after a successful application.
All early payout requests are subject to approval from the Humanitix team.
There is no guarantee all requests or amounts will be approved depending on the risk nature of each event.
You may be contacted by a member of the Humanitix team to verify your request or provide supporting documentation (e.g. invoice to pay for a venue deposit and accompanying refund policy)
Humanitix does not recommend accessing funds before the event date, and only to pay for essential invoices required for the running of the event to ensure you have funds available to process any refunds arising from individual requests, event cancellations, or postponements.
All refunds should be actioned through your Humanitix event to ensure a clear audit trail and help avoid chargebacks.
Afterpay and ZipPay
Due to Afterpay and ZipPay's terms and conditions, Humanitix cannot pre-release any sales transacted via these gateways.
Funds will be paid out according to the default 5 business days post-event
Can I delay my event payout?
Yes, you can extend the payout maturity date of your event beyond the default timeframe of 5 business days. Most event payouts are automatically processed 2 business days after the event end date.
Delay payout for a single event
Manage your event via the events tab
Navigate to payment and fees > settings > days to delay final payout
Set the number of business days you would like to delay the event payout > save
Delay payout for all your events
Head to account > my account via the top menu bar
Select default payment settings > days to delay final payout
Set the number of business days you would like to delay all event payouts > save
If you want this setting to be applied to all your existing events select Apply to all.
Make sure to delay the payout ahead of the event's end date. If your event has finished recently it’s likely we have actioned the payout already.
Can I pause payouts for my event?
If you need to pause an upcoming payout for an event or multiple events please contact the Humanitix support team via the messenger after logging in.
Once an event payout is paused you will need to manually request a payout of any funds from the Humanitix support.
Have you postponed your event? > Learn more about postponing an event
Why does Humanitix hold onto ticket sales until after the event?
Ticket sales are held with the event to ensure hosts have ample funds to fund any refunds that may arise from individual requests, event cancellations, or postponements.
While some events have a 'no refunds policy' there may always be extenuating circumstances or local consumer rights and regulations which may compel you as the event host to process a refund.
If you wish to receive flexible access to funds then we recommend connecting Stripe before ticket sales commence. These funds are not managed by Humanitix and you can control the payout schedule via your Stripe dashboard.
