ZipPay is a "buy-now-pay-later" service that can be enabled as an additional payment method at checkout increasing your events accessibility and boosting ticket sales

ZipPay is currently only available for events running in AUD and NZD


How to enable ZipPay for an event

  1. Manage your event via the events tab

  2. Navigate to the payments and fees > gateways page

  3. Click set up on ZipPay

  4. Toggle ON enable ZipMoney > save


How to enable ZipPay for all events

You can enable ZipPay as a default which will apply to all events you create and apply it to all existing events.

  1. Navigate to account > my account on the top menu

  2. Select default payment gateways

  3. Click set up on ZipPay

  4. Toggle ON Enable Zip Money> save

  5. Click apply to all in the bottom right


How much does ZipPay cost?

ZipPayhas no upfront cost to buyers who will only pay any passed-on Humanitix booking fees. ZipPay charges a monthly account fee if there is an existing balance on their account and late fees for missed repayments.

Sales made via ZipPay however will incur fees for event hosts that will be debited from ticket sales prior to payout. These fees vary between currencies. See the breakdown below.

ZipPay fees must always be worn by a host. They cannot be passed on to a ticket buyer.

How does a buyer pay for a ticket using ZipPay?

A buyer will choose Zip as their payment method during checkout. They will be prompted to log into their ZipPay account to complete the transaction and receive their confirmation email from Humanitix.


How does ZipPay work with Humanitix?

A buyer completes their purchase on Humanitix using their ZipPay account and makes repayments on their own schedule. These repayments happen from the date of purchase irrespective of the event date.


Your event is credited with the full ticket sale. ZipPay manages the repayments for the ticket with the buyer directly.

ZipPay sales are managed by the Humanitix payment gateway. Sales are credited to the event and paid out within 5 business days after your event end date.

ZipPay sales are not credited to any Stripe or PIN account connected to the event.

You can process refunds for orders paid by ZipPay via Humanitix as per normal. Buyers are credited back to their ZipPay account.
Buyers can reach out to ZipPay to request funds in credit in their account are transferred to a bank account of their choosing.

Do I need an ZipPay account to enable it for my event?

No, you do not need to register for a ZipPay account yourself

I’ve connected Stripe to my event. Will ZipPay ticket sales go into my Stripe account?

No, ticket sales made via ZipPay do not go into your Stripe account and are settled separately and paid out at the end of the event completion date. You must nominate a bank account on your Humanitix event to receive these funds.
