For most Humanitix ticket purchases, you are charged a booking fee on top of the ticket price. Booking fees can vary between currencies, events and the payment method you use. Some event hosts may choose to change how booking fees are charged, for example, by covering all or part of the costs themselves.
The two most common reasons for a higher booking fee is the payment method used:
American Express (Amex) card
As a buyer, if you paid with an Amex card at checkout, you will pay an additional charge on top of the order total. This is also known as an Amex Surcharge.
For AUD and NZD events, the Amex Surcharge is 1.1%.
For USD events, the Amex Surcharge is 1.5%.
PayPal
As a buyer, if you paid for your order through your PayPal account at checkout, you will pay an additional charge on top of the order total.
This is also known as a PayPal Surcharge.

For events charged in AUD and NZD this surcharge is 1.5%
For events charged in USD this surcharge is 3.5%
