Set when tickets will start or end sales

Control when your ticket sales will go on sale

Updated this week

By default, ticket sales for your event - and all ticket types - will begin as soon as you publish your event and will end at the event end date.

You can override the start and end times of ticket sales on the ticket type level, allowing you to offer delayed releases, staggered sales such as early-birds, or premature cut-off dates ahead of the event.

To change when your ticket sales will start or end:

  1. Manage your event via the events tab

  2. Navigate to the tickets > ticket types page

  3. Click the settings ⚙️ icon to the right of your ticket type(s)

  4. Amend the sales start/end date

Sales start/end dates must be set on each ticket type individually.

How to set your ticket sales to start or end at a specific date/time

Ideal for delayed sales start dates or closing off sales before the event, you can set ticket sales to start or end at a specific date or time:

  1. Click the setting ⚙️icon to the right of your ticket type(s)

  2. Select "At" under sales start/end

  3. Select the start and/or end times

For example: If early bird ticket sales end on July 1st 9:59am. General Admission tickets are set to begin sales on July 1st 10:00am

You do NOT need to set both a sales start and end date time if not required. You can set one or the other.

Running a "recurring" event?

We do not recommend using the "At" option for events with multiple event dates. This option will start or stop sales across all event dates at that specific event date and time.

We recommend using the "Before" which will apply to each recurring event date. See below.

How to set your ticket sales to start or end "x" days/hours before your event

The before option will allow you to start or stop ticket sales x days or hours before your event's start date.

This start/end date will apply to each of your event dates if you have multiple (also known as a recurring event).

  1. Click the setting ⚙️icon to the right of your ticket type(s)

  2. Select before under sales start/end

  3. Enter the number of "days" or "hours" before your event start date tickets will start or stop sales

We recommend using the before option for recurring events

For example: You have an event running on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and set ticket sales to end ‘1 day prior’ to the event date.

Ticket sales will end on ‘Thursday’ for the Friday occurrence, on ‘Friday’ for the Saturday occurrence, etc.

Using the at option means ticket sales will start/end for all recurring event dates at that specific time

How to set a ticket go on sale when a previous ticket has sold out

You can trigger a ticket to go on sale once another ticket type has sold out, which is great for offering tiered pricing such as early birds, ensuring the previous cheaper tiers sell out while the more expensive tiers remain visible.

  1. Create separate ticket types for both your primary and secondary tickets

  2. Click the settings ⚙️icon to the right of your secondary ticket type

  3. Select when under the ticket sales start/end header

  4. Select your primary ticket in the start after field

  5. Repeat this step if you have multiple release tickets
