How to lock your bank accounts

You can lock your bank account(s) for an extra layer of security to prevent any changes or the addition of new accounts. You can also set a custom verification process that needs to be followed by Humanitix staff to unlock your accounts.

Lock all bank accounts on your Humanitix account

Once locked, new bank accounts cannot be created and existing bank accounts cannot be edited. You will need to contact Humanitix to unlock your account.

  1. Navigate to account > my account > bank accounts(tax&bank details)

  2. Click the lock button

  3. Enter your instructions and click lock
    ​e.g. Please call finance on 9800 0000 to confirm any amendments to bank accounts


Lock the bank account on a single event

Locking the bank account on an event-level is useful if you have shared access to other users. By default, users with shared access to your event can change the account nominated for that event from the list of your available bank accounts. Once an account is locked, shared users will lose this ability.

  1. Manage your event via the events tab

  2. Click payments and fees > settings

  3. Select the payouts tab

  4. Toggle ON lock bank account

  5. Click save

You will not need to provide instructions to unlock a bank account for an event

A user with shared access to your event can never add a new bank account to an event. Only the event creator/owner can add a new account.
