Online scams and phishing attempts are on the rise. These malicious attempts can target individuals and businesses, seeking to steal sensitive information or compromise accounts.
To help protect you and your account, here are a few tips to stay vigilant:
Set a secure password
Choose a password with at least 12–16 characters for better security.
Avoid reusing passwords across websites or services. While convenient, it increases the risk of multiple accounts being compromised. If one service is breached, fraudsters will attempt to use the same credentials to access your accounts on other platforms.
It is also best practice to update your passwords regularly
We recommend using a password manager to create and securely store unique passwords for all of the online services you use.

Lock your Humanitix bank accounts
You can "lock" your bank accounts on Humanitix to prevent unauthorized changes. This is crucial in case your login credentials are compromised.
When locking your bank account, you can give Humanitix specific instructions and conditions to unlock it, e.g. ‘Needs direct confirmation from the CEO via a phone call to confirm this is a legitimate request to unlock the bank account’.
Watch out for 'phishing' emails or agents impersonating Humanitix
Look out for unusual or unfamiliar requests that feel 'off' event if they look like they are from us. Fraudsters will often impersonate companies to trick users into handing over their personal credentials. If you receive any email or communication, make sure you check:
The domain - All Humanitix emails will be sent from a domain ending in"@humanitix.com". We will never send an email from "@gmail.com", for example. Make sure the spelling is correct too (e.g. humantix.com, humanitiix.com etc.)
Poor grammar and spelling - These are often indicators of illegitimate emails.
Suspicious links - We will never ask you to log in via a link in an email. If you hover over a link in an email and see the domain of the link is not "humanitix.com" you can be assured it is a scam.
Sense of urgency - Humanitix may at times require information from you, but be aware of emails that pressure you to "act now" especially when mentioning "access to account" or "payouts".
We will never ask you to reconfirm your email address or account details via email in order to continue selling tickets.
Report suspicious emails
If you ever doubt a communication, or have received an email you suspect to be suspicious or illegitimate please contact us at [email protected] or log into Humanitix and send us a message via the messenger.
Please forward them to [email protected] and we’ll investigate for you.
By staying vigilant, we can ensure your account is protected and secure. We’re here to support you, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or questions.
Monitor for unexpected account activity
If you receive an email notification from Humanitix that says your bank account details have been updated, and you DID NOT change your account details, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. Watch for any other notifications from us that you did not trigger.
We recommend you change your password immediately.
Don’t share sensitive info or your password
Never share your password or account details over email or messaging platforms. The Humanitix team will never ask for your password, or any one time passwords (OTP) sent to you.
