You can share event access to your team of volunteers and staff who will help you scan and check-in tickets on the day, allowing them to download and use the Humanitix for Hosts scanning app on their own devices.
Every device that will check in guests will need to download the Humanitix for Hosts app. You can download this app onto any modern smartphone or tablet.

How to share access to the event via the app
You can share access to your event with your volunteers and staff on the day so that they can help scan using their own devices.
Staff who are shared access via the app are limited to using the Humanitix for Host app to help check-in attendees. They cannot edit the event or view any sensitive financial information.
To share access to the event via the app:
Login to the Humanitix for Hosts app
Select the event you would like to share access to
Click the settings tab on the bottom menu bar > give event access
Present the QR code that appears
On your volunteers/staff's device:
Download the Humanitix for hosts app on their device
They will need to sign up/login with their own account
Click get scan permissions
Use the camera to scan the event access QR code
How to share event access ahead of the event via account permissions
You can also share 'scanning app' permissions with your team before the day via the Humanitix console on your browser.
Navigate to account > permissions on the top menu bar
Click share permissions and enter the email address of your volunteer/staff
Select event specific access and select the event(s) > scanning app access only
Use a generic login to manage access for large numbers of volunteers or staff
You can avoid the need for your team to sign up on Humanitix and receive access individually by creating and sharing a single, generic login that has scanning permissions already shared:
1. Sign up with a new account on Humanitix e.g. [email protected] Password= YourEventName2024
(Note: this should be a valid email address that can receive a verification email)
2. Log in to the account that has created the event
3. Head to account > permissions and share app access only to the generic login you just created.
4. On the day, direct your team to download the Humanitix for Hosts app and login using the generic account you created.
Your team can only access the event on the app and won’t be able to make changes to the event or see sensitive financial data - easy!
