Download a report of marketing opt-ins

Updated this week

Buyers are automatically asked at checkout to opt in to receive marketing or promotional material from you (the host).

"Keep me updated on the latest news, events, and exclusive offers from [the host]"

Answers to the marketing opt-in checkbox question are found in the orders report.

Find a list of marketing opt-ins in the orders report

Navigate to the reports > orders report on the top menu bar. You can filter by event or download a list of orders across all your events.

Refer to the marketing opt-in column

Yes = They have opted in

No = They have not opted in

Click Export CSV to export this as a CSV file spreadsheet and filter for this column

Best practice: You should only email promotional or marketing material, such as upcoming events, to those who have opted in.

You risk a greater chance of a recipient reporting your emails as spam, which may damage your overall email deliverability rates.

Find your host profile follower list

If a host profile is linked to an event page at the time of purchase, a buyer will also become a follower of that host profile if they opt in for marketing.

Prospective buyers can also always opt in to follow a host profile from your Host profile page without needing to register for an event.

You can therefore view and export your list of host followers, knowing that all of these people have opted in for marketing and promotional content.

Navigate to account > hosts on the top menu bar and select your host profile.

Then select followers.

Click the download ⬇️ button to export your followers list

Can I email buyers who have opted in for marketing through Humanitix?

The email campaign tool in Humanitix can be used to send emails to registered buyers for your events.

It is designed only for service-level emails to registered attendees of a specific event.

For example, reminders, event updates, cancellations, and surveys.

It cannot be used to send custom promotional or marketing materials to any past ticket buyer. i.e. you cannot use it to promote another event or service you may offer.

We would recommend integrating with a third-party email client like Mailchimp to send these promotional emails to appropriate recipients only.

Automatically notify followers of a newly published event

Through Humanitix, you CAN send automated emails to your host followers that a new event has just been created (published). Followers receive a template promotional email with the event information and a prompt to purchase tickets.

  1. Ensure your host profile is linked to your new event

  2. Click Publish

  3. Toggle ON Notify my followers > publish now
