Every event will automatically ask a marketing opt-in question "Keep me updated on the latest news, events, and exclusive offers from the event host".
This text cannot be edited or changed, but it can be removed if you want to replace it with a custom checkbox checkout question.
When buyer's agree to the default marketing opt in:
Their consent is recorded on the orders report
They are added as a follower to your linked host profile
They are synced as "subscribed contacts" to a connect Mailchimp account (if connected).
How to remove the default marketing opt-in question
Head to advanced > settings
Under the orders tab, toggle OFF enable host’s mailing opt in

How to remove the Humanitix marketing opt-in checkbox
The Humanitix marketing opt-in is a default that cannot be edited or amended. If you wish to remove this from your event(s) please reach out to the Humanitix support team via the messenger after logging in.
