Whichever currency you choose, when you host an event on Humanitix, your event can accept any card payment via MasterCard, VISA or American Express, wherever your customers are.
If you have bank accounts in only one country
As a general rule of thumb, you must select the currency where you have a local bank account.
ℹ️ For example, if you select AUD as your event’s currency, you will need to add an Australian bank account to receive the payouts in AUD.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: We cannot transfer payouts internationally and will not be able to process payouts for your event if you don’t have a local bank account.
If you have bank accounts in different countries
If you have the freedom to choose from multiple local bank accounts in different currencies, pick one that suits the majority of your audience for the event - this will allow your customers to pay for their tickets with as little currency conversion as possible.
ℹ️ For example, if you are based in New Zealand but you are running an online event tailored for an American audience, best to select USD as the currency.
