Salesforce integration

Integrate your Humanitix account with your Salesforce account to ensure your CRM is up to date.

Updated over a week ago

Our Salesforce-managed package was built by Salesforce partner, AlphaSys.

Note: You can query first-party (known) CRM data, and other data stored in the Google Cloud Platform, directly and use them within Salesforce Data Cloud. ☁️

Using the Humanitix Sync Package, you can easily sync your events, orders, tickets, campaigns and contact information made on Humanitix into your Salesforce CRM.

  • This is a one-way integration to sync Humanitix data into Salesforce.

  • All events must be ‘owned’ by the same account. Shared events will not be synced.

📂 Custom objects and fields

The Humanitix to Salesforce integration uses the following objects:

  • Events

  • Orders

  • Order Attributes (Contains Order-level questions)

  • Tickets

  • Ticket Attributes (Contains Ticket-level questions)

  • Ticket Type

  • Date

  • Campaign

  • Contact

⚠️ Our integration does not sync contacts as “Leads”.

  • We only support creating Contacts, not Leads.

👂 Terminology

Leads represent any individual or company entering your CRM but are not ready for the sales discussion.

Contact is an individual who has been qualified and converted from a Lead to a Contact in Salesforce to pursue a sales opportunity.

    • Match existing contact and update

  • Update frequency

    • Daily - sync every 24hrs

    • Hourly - sync every hour

    • On request - only if Manual Sync is clicked

🔁 Workflow

Each Humanitix event that you sync creates a campaign in Salesforce.

Each campaign carries a unique ID that can not be updated. However, you can rename the campaign.

This means that every time you want to run an event, you should first:

  1. Create a basic event draft in Humanitix

  2. Ensure it’s synced to Salesforce (which will create the campaign)

  3. Build out the Salesforce campaign according to your needs

🛠️ Common Troubleshoots

Blocking Syncing:

Blocker: Match existing contacts and don’t update > duplicate rule set will match with existing contacts. If there is no existing contact, our system will try and create a new contact as a “Lead” vs a Contact (which our system doesn’t allow)

Solution: Disable the duplicate rule.
