How to track page views for your event

You can track page views natively in Humanitix or connect a Google Analytics account

Updated over 4 months ago

Humanitix offers a native analytics solution to help track page views and visits to your event page as well as an integration with Google Analytics for more complex requirements.

How to track event page views in Humanitix

You can view native analytics including page views via your analytics page in Humanitix

  1. Manage your event via the events tab

  2. Head to the reports > analytics page on the left-hand menu bar

Page views are listed under the views tab. Use the tabs to navigate between unique visitors or completed orders. You can also filter the views by time period in the top right.

What's the difference between a "view" and a "unique visitor"?

A "view" is recorded each time someone visits your page, even if it's the same person. However, we'll only record that same person once as a "unique visitor".

You can also view traffic sources or demographics about your visitors using the Humanitix analytics page.

How to track page views using Google Analytics

Humanitix offers a native integration with Google Analytics (GA). Our integration is also optimised for Google Analytics 4 and the GA4 E-commerce reporting suite. By integrating your Google Analytics 4 account with Humanitix, you can automatically track customer behaviour, including revenue by ticket type and checkout conversion rates.

To connect your Google Analytics account to your Humanitix event:

  1. Manage your event via the events tab

  2. Navigate to advanced > integrations on the left-hand menu bar

  3. Enter your Google Analytics and/or Google Tag Manager ID into the fields provided.

  4. Click save

Google Analytics is a powerful but advanced tool that can collect complex data and insights from your Humanitix event page and any other website you own.

Due to this complexity and its unique implementation for each host, Humanitix cannot aid in the use of your Google Analytics account.

We recommend referring to their support articles or requesting the help of a marketing/software engineer.
