The Humanitix and Facebook integration allows you to connect your Facebook account and instantly create a Facebook event for your newly launched Humanitix event page.

No need to recreate your Facebook event from scratch!


How to connect your Facebook account

Before you can create your first Facebook event via Humanitix, you must connect your Facebook account to Humanitix. This can be done through any of your events.

  1. Manage your event via the events tab

  2. Select promote > Facebook events on the left-hand menu

  3. Click connect to Facebook

  4. Login with your Facebook account

  5. Select all the Facebook page(s) you would like to create an event under

You can only connect one Facebook account to your Humanitix account at a time


How to create a Facebook event from Humanitix

You can instantly generate a Facebook event page using the event banner image, description. A "Get tickets" link will appear on your Facebook event with your event page URL of your Humanitix event .

  1. While on promote > Facebook events

  2. Click create new Facebook event

  3. Select your page, review your event information, and Facebook event category

  4. Click create event

If you have multiple Facebook event pages you will need to repeat these steps for each page


Update your Facebook event via Humanitix

You can sync any changes you made to your Humanitix event page to such as title, description, event banner image etc with your active Facebook event page

  1. Mange your event via the events tab

  2. Click promote > Facebook event

  3. Select the Facebook event you would like to update

  4. Click update event

You must manually sync your Humanitix and Facebook event

Changes made to your Humanitix event will not automatically update on Facebook.

Note: Updating your event will override any changes you made on Facebook directly.


How to delete your Facebook event

You must remove your Facebook event via Humanitix before you cancel/unpublish your event.

  1. Click promote > facebook event

  2. Select the Facebook event you wish to remove

  3. Click remove from facebook



How to disconnect your Facebook account

Follow these steps to disconnect your Facebook account:

  1. Click Promote > Facebook event

  2. Select any event you have connected to Facebook, or click + Create new Facebook event

  3. Click Disconnect under the name of your Facebook account

  4. Confirm to disconnect


Commonly asked questions

Can I link an existing Facebook event page to my Humanitix event?

You cannot connect an existing Facebook event via Humanitix. However you can add include your Humanitix event page URL into your Facebook event, achieving the same behaviour.


While managing your Facebook event in Facebook:
1. Click edit ✏️

2. Look for add tickets

3. Paste your Humanitix event page URL

This will create a "Get Tickets" button on your Facebook event which links to the Humanitix event page.

Your Humanitix event page URL can be found on your overview page while managing your event.

I cannot see the Facebook page I want when I go to create an event

A. Make sure you are logged in with a Facebook account that controls or has access to that particular Facebook page

B. Disconnect and Reconnect your Facebook account. Follow the prompts to edit previous settings and make sure all pages are selected. Complete the connection


I still cannot see ANY Facebook pages in the dropdown

If you are certain that you have connected the right Facebook and account and amended your settings as per the above, then this is a known issue affecting the Facebook integration where linked pages are unavailable for selection.

The Humanitix team is working with Facebook to resolve this as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we are reliant on a resolution from Facebook at this stage and are awaiting further details.

In the meantime, you will need to create your Facebook event manually via Facebook directly, copy and pasting your event description, banner image etc.

You can copy and paste the Humanitix event page URL into the Facebook event ticket links


Can I create a Facebook event directly to a group?

No, Facebook events must be created directly to a Facebook page. You can share to a group afterwards.
