Promote your events with the Humanitix music integration

Boost the number of eyes on your Humanitix event by connecting with music apps such as Bandsintown and Spotify, and tap into hundreds of millions of engaged music fans.

By tagging the artists performing at your event, your event and event link will appear in their app profiles - and anywhere else these apps integrate with.

Users receive email and push notifications when their favourite artists are performing at your event nearby!

Music previews will also appear on your event page, allowing potential buyers to get a taste of your performing artists before purchasing tickets!

How the music integration works

The Humanitix music integration requires you to tag the performing artists at your event. Note: Tribute acts are not accepted. Artists must be physically present.

Tag your artists and get approved

  1. Navigate to event information on the left hand menu while managing your event

  2. Scroll to discoverability

  3. Tag the artists performing at your Humanitix event by searching for their Spotify profile name

  4. Click request approval to get approved by the Humanitix team.
You'll be notified once your account has been approved. If you see "Approved" there is nothing you need to do.

Your approval will be applied to your entire Humanitix account. You only need to request approval once.

If you do not see the performing artists section:

  • Make sure your event is set to public

  • Select an appropriate event category, such as "festival or performance"

Music previews on your event page

Once you've added your artists, you can display 30-second music previews on your event page. These appear next to the Get Tickets button on both mobile and desktop.

Ensure play music previews on your event page is toggled ON.

For the music preview feature to work the tagged Spotify artist must be on MusicBrainz. Their Spotify artist and MusicBrainz profiles also must be linked.

It is currently not possible to change which songs are previewed by the artist.

Syncing your events to Spotify and Bandsintown

Once tagged and approved, your Humanitix event will automatically begin syncing with Spotify and Bandsintown within 24 hours.

Artists will need to have an active Spotify profile to sync with Spotify.
Artists will need to have a Bandsintown profile to sync with Bandsintown and their partners.
