How to connect your Mailchimp account to Humanitix
Click connect Mailchimp
Follow the prompts to login your Mailchimp account
Click allow to authorise the connection
Once successfully connected you will be redirected to Humanitix
Set your Mailchimp sync settings
To sync all of your events, choose all events
To sync particular events, choose selected events and start typing to search
You can choose sync contacts who haven't opted-in to marketing or promotional material
By default, only those who have opted-in are synced as subscribed contacts. If you sync all contacts, those who have not opted-in will be synced as "non-subscribed contacts".

How does a buyer opt-in for marketing and promotional materials?
When a buyer makes a ticket purchase on Humanitix they can choose to opt-in for marketing and promotional from you (the host).
You can also find a list of those who have opted-in by exporting your orders report and referring to the marketing opt-in column.
How does the Humanitix and Mailchimp integration work?
Humanitix events are synced as products in your Mailchimp account, and ticket buyers who opt-in to receive communications from you at checkout will be added to your audience as subscribed contacts.
Humanitix will also send data about your buyers, such as email, purchase data, and behavioural data, to your Mailchimp account. You can view their interactions on the activity feed of their Mailchimp contact profile.
How is data between Humanitix and Mailchimp synced?
It may take up to 5 minutes for each sync to complete

When you disconnect Mailchimp from Humanitix, we'll automatically pause e-commerce automation and stop syncing data from your Humanitix account.

Commonly asked questions
I have already sold tickets to my Humanitix event. Will Mailchimp sync my existing buyers?
Yes, any existing buyers will be synced as contacts to your Mailchimp audience. You can connect to Mailchimp after going live with an event.
I have collected email addresses for all attendees, not just the buyer. Can I send them an email via Mailchimp?
No, Mailchimp can only sync the buyer as a contact into your Mailchimp audience. No attendee/ticket-level data such as an email address per ticket, will be synced.
Can I use the same Humanitix email campaign shortcuts in Mailchimp?
No, personalisations and shortcuts such as "@OrderName", "@ViewTickets", "@EditOrderLink" are only available through the email campaign tool within Humanitix.
Can I sync to multiple audience lists in Mailchimp?
No you can only sync to once Mailchimp audience list. Mailchimp does not recommend you use multiple audience lists. Instead, use "Tags" to create different segments in your contact list.
