After 30th December 2025, the Canva integration with Humanitix will be removed and replaced with a new version.
During this time, the Design on Canva button will temporarily be unresponsive while the new integration is installed.
This will affect all users who have created images through the Design on Canva button in Humanitix. This includes:
Event banner image
Ticket type + Packaged Ticket images
Ticket group images
Host profile logo
Host profile banner image
Collection banner image
Collection event group images
What does this mean?
After this date (30th December), you will not be able to edit any existing design created using the Design on Canva button.
Until the 30th December, we would not recommend using the Design on Canva button in Humanitix to create a design. We would recommend creating a design via Canva.com directly and then exporting and applying it to the event directly, if you expect to make any changes.
If you try to edit an existing design after this date, you will receive an error message.
If you wish to make any changes, you will need to delete the existing design, then recreate it or reapply it from your Canva account after clicking the Design on Canva button.

When clicking Design on Canva again for the first time, you will be prompted to log in to your Canva account again.
Note: Existing designs that were already created through the Design on Canva button on Humanitix are not saved to your Canva account. This was a limitation that will be available in the new version.
What you need to do
If you need to make any changes to an existing design, make them soon or ensure you recreate the design directly via Canva.com.
If you are creating a brand new design, create it via Canva.com in the interim.
You can export your design as an image file (e.g. JPEG) using the share button in Canva and manually upload it to the event. Click the Upload image button and select the downloaded file from your device.
A message will be sent to all Canva users on Humanitix when the new Design on Canva button is live.
Why is this being done?
Canva has released an updated version that will allow a more robust integration to create beautiful event images through Humanitix.
Designs created through the Design on Canva button in Humanitix will now be saved to your Canva account. This was previously not possible.

The new Canva experience
The Design on Canva button will remain in all the same areas in Humanitix.
When clicking on it for the first time after the change on the 30th December, you'll be prompted to log in to your Canva account.
The Canva creation page will appear in a new window. Create your design and then click Return to Humanitix to sync your changes and apply the design.
