Transform your TikTok presence into a powerful event promotion channel with our new TikTok integration. Now you can connect your Humanitix events directly to your TikTok videos, enabling viewers to discover and purchase tickets without leaving the platform.
We've partnered with TikTok to help you reach wider audiences and drive ticket sales through one of the world's most engaging social platforms. Whether you're promoting a single event or multiple shows, TikTok will automatically display the most relevant event to viewers based on their location.
TikTok is currently only available for events running in AUD. Events must be Public in order to opt-in to the TikTok integration.
How to connect your event to TikTok
The TikTok integration is disabled by default for events. To enable TikTok promotion for a specific event:
On Humanitix:
Navigate to your event dashboard and click 'Event Information' on the left-hand side.
Under Discoverability, make sure your event is set to Public. Then, enable 'Allow event to be discovered on TikTok'.
Click Save.
On TikTok:
Create a new post. After you've typed in your description and added an optional location, click the 'Add Link' button. Select 'Tickets' in the Add link menu.
In the search bar, type in your Event Name. Once located, click the Plus icon on the right. You can add multiple events to a single post.
Finally, click 'Link to post'
Heads Up! It may take up to 72 hours for your event to become searchable on TikTok.
How does my event appear on TikTok?
When you link your Humanitix event to your TikTok post:
A 'Event near you' badge will appear above your post's description
Clicking this will launch your Humanitix ticketing page inside of the TikTok app.
Buyers can complete their purchase end-to-end within the TikTok app.
TikTok automatically displays the most relevant event to each viewer based on their location. For example, if you're promoting a multi-city tour, viewers will see the event closest to them.
What data will TikTok have access to?
We take seriously the privacy and security of our event hosts and attendees. Here's what you need to know about data sharing:
No data is shared with TikTok by default
Data sharing only occurs when you explicitly opt-in by enabling the TikTok integration
Only public event information is shared, including your Event name, Date and time, Venue location, Public event description and your Featured image.
We never share:
Host information or contact details
Attendee data or ticket buyer information
Private event details
Sales or revenue data, apart from only those sales that occur directly as a result of the TikTok integration.
Commonly asked questions
Can I toggle on TikTok as a default for ALL my events?
No, you must opt-in to send your event to TikTok one each individual event. There is no default setting
What happens if I disable TikTok integration?
When you disable the integration, your event will no longer appear on TikTok videos. Any existing videos with the "Events near you" button will have the button hidden - This may take up to 72 hours. Your posts will not be removed.
Is there an additional cost for using the TikTok integration?
Nope! The TikTok integration is included within your Humanitix account.
