Visibility of your event on Humanitix is influenced by several factors, ranging from accurate configuration of event settings to ensuring appropriate use of keywords and filters. Below, we explore key reasons your event might not be showing as expected and provide actionable steps to resolve these issues.
Factors Influencing Event Visibility
Event location settings
Ensure the correct address is entered in your event settings to accurately represent the location of your event.
We recommend using the address option to search for a specific address rather than a general or custom address.
The address option is powered by Google Maps and greatly increases your event's visibility on the Humanitix website and search engines.
Keywords and categories
Include relevant keywords in your event title, event description, and dedicated keyword field. These elements help match your event with potential ticket buyers' searches on the Humanitix marketplace and search engines.
Ensure you have also entered appropriate categories and event type so that buyer's who are looking for particular event formats can find yours.
You can add in your keywords and categories via the event information page and edit your event description via the page content page.
Share your event link
Search engines like Google prioritise links that can be found in multiple websites or are heavily shared.
Try including your link on your website, social media posts etc to improve your rankings. Of course the mere act of actively promoting your event link means more eyes on your event.
Host profile and followers
Events with host profiles with high follower counts can also feature more prominently.
Ensure you have created and linked a host profile to your event allowing buyers to "follow" you. You'll quickly build an engaged list of interested buyers who are interested in becoming returning customers!
Organic traffic and growth
The more popular your event in terms of visitors and ticket sales, the more prominent your event will be in searches. Getting more eyes on your event creates a positive feedback loop where search engines will prioritise your event page.
