Humanitix has partnered with Onboard Earth to provide an easy way to contribute towards an initiative that supports climate projects and helps offset the carbon footprint associated with travel to your event.
Once enabled for an event, a climate levy is a mandatory amount added to every order.
Additionally, Onboard Earth has provided a range of tools and resources to help track, manage, and minimise your event's climate impact.
The climate levy is available for GBP events only
Add a climate levy
To add a climate levy, manage your event and go to payments and fees > Climate levy in the left-hand menu.
Select add a climate levy
Select one of the four levy options most applicable to your event and then apply. Only one levy amount/option can be applied.
The climate levy replaces any existing donation item you have enabled for your event. You cannot have a separate donation AND a climate levy for the same event page.
How to turn off the climate levy
If you no longer want to collect a climate levy, navigate to the tickets > ticket types page.
Click disable on the climate levy donation.
How does the climate levy work?
Once enabled, the climate levy is automatically applied to every buyer's order during checkout.
The climate levy replaces any "donation" option for your event. Buyers can see the climate levy on the ticket selection page, but cannot change the amount or remove it from their order total.
You can track the amount of money collected through the climate levy by referring to the donation figure in your overview page reporting.
