Add an extra layer of security to your Humanitix account by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) through an approved authenticator app. Protect access to your event data even if your email and password is compromised.
Authenticator apps are an easy to use and powerful security measure, allowing you to generate a one-time, time-based code from your mobile device required for your login. Authenticator app codes can be generated offline and are more secure than email or SMS-based authentifications which can be easily intercepted.
How to enable two-factor authentification
Two-factor authentification can be enabled when first creating your account or at anytime via your account > security page whilst logged into Humanitix.
Download an authenticator app onto your mobile device
We recommend one of the following:Navigate to account > security via the top menu bar
Toggle ON two-factor authentication and enter your account password to continue.
Using your chosen authenticator app on your mobile device scan the QR code provided or manually enter the secret key.

What if I cannot enable access the device with my authenticator app?
If you cannot access your device with the authenticator app to receive a code you will need to contact the Humanitix support team.
Please send us a message using the messenger or email us directly at [email protected].
It says I must disable Zapier before I can enable 2FA. What does this mean?
Currently, accounts that have set up a live Zap between Humanitix and another app using Zapier cannot enabled 2FA. This is due to a recent version update from Zapier that will be resolved in a future release from Humanitix.
In the meantime, you must log into Zapier and "turn off" any Zap currently enabled for this account. You can then return to the account > security page and enable 2FA. Zaps can be re-enabled after 2FA has been set up.
Will you be offering Single-Sign On (SSO) through Google, Apple, or Facebook?
Yes, we are currently scoping the introduction of SSO through Apple, Google, and Facebook logins and hope to release these in 2025.
Can I require all members of my team enable 2FA?
2FA is currently enabled on an account-by-account basis and cannot be made a requirement for another account that you have shared access to or from. Each account must separately enable 2FA on their account.
