Set the min/max number of tickets that can be bought

Set reduced or increased limits on the number of tickets that can be added to an order

Updated over a week ago

By default, buyers can purchase from 0 to 10 tickets of any ticket type. There is also no default limit on the number of tickets purchased in an entire order and across multiple ticket types.

You can change these defaults to control how many tickets can be bought across a single ticket type or a whole order

🎫 Set max and min limits on a single ticket type

  1. Head to the tickets > ticket types page of your event

  2. Click the settings βš™οΈ icon to the right of your ticket type > advanced settings

  3. Adjust the following ticket settings:

    1. Minimum tickets per order
The smallest number of tickets that can be selected in the dropdown option

    2. Maximum tickets per order
The largest number of tickets that can be selected in the dropdown option

    3. Restrict to multiples of
Useful when offering pairs or group bookings
For example, setting a multiple of β€˜2' means only even numbers from '2, 4, 6, 8..’ can be selected in the dropdown option.

πŸ›’ Set a maximum limit of tickets per order

This allows you to restrict the number of tickets added to an order across all ticket types.

  1. Head to advanced > settings in the left-hand menu bar

  2. Select the tickets tab

  3. Set the min / max tickets per order

For example, if the max is set to '6', a ticket buyer can only add 6 tickets across all ticket options to their cart: 3 x General Admission + 3 x Child or 4 x General Admission + 2 x Child, etc. They will receive an error message prompting them to remove excess tickets from their cart if they go over.
