Hardware requirements for the Humanitix for Hosts mobile app

Devices that do not meet the minimum hardware requirements may run into issues when using the app

Minimum requirements

To use the Humanitix for Hosts mobile app, your mobile device needs to meet the following minimum requirements:

These are the requirements your device needs to meet if you are only using the app to check in your attendees without selling tickets at the door using the 'Tap to Pay' box office feature.

  • A mobile/tablet device with a camera and an updated Operating System (Android 7.0 or iOS 13.0 and more recent versions).

  • A reliable internet connection to download the app and load the event data. The app can still work offline for ticket scanning or check-ins with intermittent or loss of network connection, and your check-in data will be synced when a connection is restored.


Additional requirements for the 'Tap to Pay' box office feature

To use the 'Tap to Pay' box office feature on the Humanitix for Hosts mobile app, your mobile device needs to meet these additional requirements:

  • A reliable, uninterrupted internet connection. This is to ensure the communication between your device and the payment processing network.

  • NFC-enabled device. Please note this may exclude most tablet devices. (See the full list of regional availability and device requirements below)

For iOS devices

✅ iPhone XS or newer (iPads not supported)

✅ Running iOS 16.4 or higher

⛔ Older than iPhone X

⛔ Running iOS 16.3 or lower

For Android devices

✅ Android 13 or later

✅ Have a security update installed within the last 12 months

✅ Be a Google-certified device with the Play Store

✅ Not be rooted or modified
